OMG I feel like I could write an entry Every. Single. Day.
I won't bore you with the details, but today ...... Breathing.......I was able to just coo at Prince Charming whenever necessary, and he backed down. Phew, because although I do not want to fight anymore..... I feel I can be easily provoked.
Also, my 31 year old son and his girlfriend are here until about August 1st while waiting for a new apartment to be available. My son can be a bit disrespectful at times. Hey, I get it that this is not his dream living arrangement...... But I am doing him a favor, having them stay here and storing their things. But really, he is getting under my skin. I'm breathing....I'm breathing....yeow !!!!! I just want to SCREAM....

My sons can get under my skin at times! It is wonderful you really like his girlfriend. I was lucky both of my sons married very nice girls. They have been married 12 and 13 years and still chugging along!

Hope you can get outside and breathe in fresh air! Take good care of yourself.

This is my first activity here. Same stuff attracted me because I have been married to my alcoholic husband for 26 years. I've been able to be happy, have peace and raise children very successfully in this time, but I'm so anxious and annoyed today: it's been building for the last 2 years really. It's like I've regressed in my feelings back 20 years. How are your children with the alcoholic? Do you find this group helpful? I'm hoping to start reaching out for support again. Hoping to find someone to talk to, sometimes complain with and just get things off my chest.

Annette ..... This group saved my life!!!!! Support, information, understanding, encouragement, love and even some laughter. My sons are 31 and 28. We seem to be a close family of three included are their amazing girlfriends, and my husband orbits around us. They are are patient with him but there is a lot of underlying resentment. As my husband is progressing in both drinking and medication for chronic pain and tranquilizers just because.......he is becoming batshit crazy. It is first and foremost annoying and heart breaking as well. They try to at least be kind, but then again they get to come and go.
I am close to retirement, leaving now would put financial burdens on me that I am not willing to endure. But I have all the independence I need and have a full and satisfying life with out Prince Charming ( as long as I remember to never get drawn into his drama)

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
