I was wondering does anyone else experienced this problem , my husband sex drive seems to have gone and he has trouble getting an erriction im wondering is it from been an alcoholic has anyone else's AH have this problem ?
My partner has no sex drive. He’s been sober since the end of December. We’ve had sex twice, which I initiated and was on top. I’ve tried multiple groups and searches looking for support, but haven’t found much. I’d feel better having some idea how much might be physiological versus it being so long since attempting intimacy sober and what others have experienced working through it.
In my opinion, there are many factors at work here. First, alcohol is known to cause "whiskey dick" where they can't get it up after drinking too much.
If he is older, his testosterone may have fallen, hence, Junior no longer wants to come out and play.
Depression is a HUGE part of it can consumes their daily thoughts, which they silence with booze.
These are all problems HE HAS THAT YOU CAN'T CONTROL. After a period of years of this neglect, sloppy love making, a drunk crawling on top of you and banging away while you lay there looking at the ceiling, we aren't missing much.
After 6 years of neglect, if he suddenly got better tomorrow, I wouldn't fuck him with satan's dick. That ship sailed away long ago.
And the end of the day. it still comes down to drinking = bad marriage and bad sex.
I'm not sure that's everyone's experience. My partner was more emotive, more sexual, and more able to perform as a drinker than I've ever seen him sober. I am wondering if he has past sexual issues that the alcohol helped mask. I will mention talking to his physician about checking testosterone levels. Not to downplay the effects of alcohol abuse in any way, but everyone doesn't experience the same relationship problems with an alcoholic.
Ya know, I think In my case, his lack of interest works in my favor because after so many years of neglect, I put up a wall and like I said before, I can't imagine making love to him.
My husband isn't sober he's just lost his job - due to drinking and is on his millionth time attempting to "cut down" by himself he needs rehab but refused it he used to have sex with him a lot when he was really drunk den I was soo fed up of him only doing it when he was really drunk that I said I only wanted to have sex wen he wasn't drunk then that just didn't happen so I don't it whenever he wanted to but I've also caught him watching porn like a lot and it's really hurtful that he would watch dat rather dan have sex with me I said to him I was worried and he said we will get back to what we were we cuddle but that's it - I feel like I put up with a lot over his drinking and he is a functional alcoholic but very close to not been functional he was sober for bout 2 weeks n they were great and I felt like I had my husband back again but now I can feel his drinking creeping back up , I half wonder if he resents me for wanting him to give up the drink and this is his way of punishing me u out up with the alcoholic cuz you love him but when he won't have sex you do have to wonder does he love me anymore
My partner tells me that he's not even interested in porn or taking care of himself. That would be a lot more hurtful. I lived through a porn addiction and worse with the father of my children, so, I understand how it feels, which is also a part of seeking trying to seek support now. I went years without being touched in that relationship, so, it's not something I'm willing to live with now without efforts being made to improve our intimate life. I'm doing my best to give some time since I know this is the longest he's been sober, but I do feel like he only wants me when he's drinking, even if it's not the truth, it's how it feels. He stopped drinking a couple times before, but only for a few weeks and it was the same thing, no sex, then once he was drinking again, lots of sex. I'm simply not willing to go on and on and on not having a decently fulfilled life, ever again. I need sobriety and some level of sex life.
I cannot tell you the title of the book i read years ago, but this is my personal experience and it is also confirmed in this book about the male hormones and aging.
I also agree that the it seems if he has has higher levels of alcohol rather than just beer he is a bit more friendly. But nothing ever comes to fruition - he just passes out. years ago, when i would ask him about intimacy he would get angry and defensive.
it is as if my HFA husband is age 6 or 8. Girls are gross and there is no interest in any aspect of a relationship other than the 'good night' peck on the lips.
The doctors in this book did acknowledge (as stated by some of the other posts) that age is a factor for lower levels of testosterone but there is a HUGE link to long term alcoholism. The longer they have been drinking the less likely they are to be able to have a healthy adult relationship. They unknowingly traded that aspect of being a man and have embraced the disease instead.
The problem could be anything. You may temporarily not feel sexual attraction even because of banal stress, so don’t have to worry so much about it. My friend did not have a sexual attraction for his girlfriend for about a week and he decided to drink several tablets of Viagra. As a result, he was very poisoned and had a heart attack. So I advise you not to take risks. If the doctor says that you have any problems with potency, you can try comprar cialis online from https://espanolviagra.net/comprar-cialis-generico-online/. Cialis has become much more effective and more popular than Viagra and also it is very effective. But in no case do not self-medicate!
