Some of you who have been here a few weeks or more may remember me mentioning an upcoming wedding I was stressed about. I couldn't imagine getting through this with AH and not being humiliated.
The wedding was today. This sounds a little cruel, but AH came down with an infection yesterday. I certainly don't wish illness on him, but this was relatively harmless. And the timing was perfect. Enough to keep him home and allow me to go to the wedding alone with a valid excuse for his absence. I think God just didn't want to put me through that.
Even better, I've convinced AH that antibiotics do not work if you mix with alcohol. I may get several sober days

God is merciful. I hope you enjoyed the wedding. I can understand how stressful it could have been had your AH been there, too.

I agree that God is there watching out for us... Not everything may seem that way, but things like this show us that there is something positive out there

Mine drinks even when he is on medicine. He simply does not care.

Vanellope, mine, too. My AH takes prescription painkillers, daily, that specifically say not to drink alcohol while taking that med. He doesn't care. He thinks because he's never, yet, had a bad interaction, that he likely won't. Insane. That's one of the things that makes us different from them. We're capable of making sane choices.

Oh mine drinks on meds. Also takes more than prescribed. He says it's because he's big. He did end up having a close call this year and it changed nothing.
