How do anyone that has gone thru this hell turn there brain off from worrying. I worry if he will get into an accident or after going to do an errand will come home hours later because he was drinking. Everyone I talk to says take care of yourself. My depression is bad along with severe anxiety. My Dr placed me on Buspar but I have to taper off my remeron for 10 days. This life is complete hell. I commend everyone of you that have left and made another life.

You will never stop worrying. You do have to stop taking responsibility for others actions you have no control over. I’ve told my AH I will call the cops if he ever drove drunk and so far so good. I worry about his health, he wouldnt eat unless I literally plate it and put it in front of him. I shut my brain down when it comes to him, it took a long time but I got there. He’s a grown man and I got tired of acting as mother and babysitter. He says I’ve turned cold and bitter, I said yes when it comes to your behavior I’m washing my hands of it! When the bad times outweighed the good I knew I had to do something. I lost myself, my passion for life, I stopped laughing and smiling. I can’t see myself living like that till I die. And that and my kids are what made me decide to leave. I can’t tell you what to do. But if the worry and pain in your heart haunts your every waking moment that’s not living that’s simply being. I hope you can find peace and happiness with yourself, this is not your fault. Remember that...this is not your fault

Yes this life is hell. I wish we all had the financial and emotional ability to just leave! The women that leave are so, so, lucky.
