Hi girls, well it's been a tough week. Thank you so much for your replies, inspiration, hugs and support. Especially Karen. You are wise woman!
I am leaving today for a 4 day break at my moms. Dear AH as been nagging since 6am this morning that I return on Sunday and not as planned on Tuesday. He is now also trying to get me to take him along - apparently to go make amends with my mother face-to-face. I have, in no uncertain terms told him I refuse to get involved between him and my mother. I am certainly not letting him go with. That will ruin everything thanks to the atmosphere he drags with him. The incessant sulking.
Anyway. I am not that angry anymore and not that hurt either. I am calming down. Probably has something to do with the smell of spring in the air.
He is pretending to look for a place to stay, but apparently nothing is "close to what he is used to". I have considered moving and taking my daughter, but I have decided I won't leave my house and uproot my daughter. I will be seeing the divorce lawyer on Wednesday when I get back. I know a difficult time lies ahead, but somehow it feels like I am planning a party or a vacation and I can't wait. Am I crazy or is this normal? I can't wait to be away from him this weekend. I need the chill time, plus my daughter will be staying behind. Country air and Gran's love will do wonders. Love you all and once again - thank you.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
From DS I hear of different locations, people and situations and I find that the one constant is the damn Alcoholic's immature self centered and manipulative behavior!
Have a wonderful trip, don't give more of your precious mind's real estate with your thoughts while you are away. :)
Good for you for having some movement on this issue.
Time away will do wonders for you.
The initial part of the divorce is a huge roller coaster--even when you want it. There will be many emotions. Cry your heart out. Mourn. There are a lot of emotions that need dealing with. I completely fell apart for 4-6 weeks--just going through the motions of life. Then slowly I started the road to re-build to get to the place I am today. Believe me, one year ago no one would have thought ''what a wise woman!''
Enjoy the time with your mom. It is good she is close enough for you to get away to.
Also, I am sooooo happy to hear you are being pragmatic and are seeing a lawyer. Protect yourself and follow the advice of the solicitor.
((((HUGS))))
I do agree with Karenhopeful, you should mourn and go through the stages of accepting your loss. Don't deny the tremendous dissappointment you are feeling that things have not worked out the way you planned, as it will onlly delay the process. Get angry, get sad, get healthy!!!!
Be focussed and strong, but allow time to be vulnerable and honest about your pain before God!!! He will be there - you can surely cry to Him and He will understand everything you feel and think. Don't forget He is always with you and want you to have a better life (for you and your daughter).
You are strong and will get through this - you have many people supporting you for doing the right thing for your life at this moment!!!!! Thinking of you!
:)
