Been a while since I have been on here I think I've been trying to see will it get better when it has only got 10 times worse , And now I feel like I'm drowning and don't know what to do. We have at 1 year old and teenager we have been together 15 years and married 5 years . When we first got together I knew my husband "like few drinks but didn't have a problem" It wasn't until our first wedding anniversary that I realised my husband actually had a problem , I've tried to talk to him about help but to no avail he was a functional alcoholic but lately I'm thinking it's just alcoholics he's drink driving to and from work and his work is suffering and the only reason he hasn't got fired is he works for my father who's very fond of him - the weekends are the worst always causes an argument when drinking and another one
when he just wants to go back to the bar , I have no energy left I'm so frustrated and fed up his mother and brother are comming down tommrow to "talk sense to him " but he's refusing AA and won't admit he has a problem so I really don't know where to go from here - I just know this situation isn't healthy for my children -

If I were your father, I would sure want my new grandchild growing up in a home that was stable, healthy, and authentic.
I am an adult child of an alcoholic and a recovering alcoholic myself. My last drink was 21 years ago yesterday.
