If you worked for a company that did the following after your partners death would you expose them to the outer world?
1) Told employees of his cause of death, but led you to believe something else entirely different.
2) Two employees within the work place are allowed to make allegations that I am involved in my partners death.
3) Stopped you from entering the downstairs premises, even though you live upstairs, you've lived there for 5 years, you can't see your customers and friends in your restaurant, and you are now a single mum on her own.
4) On the morning of your partners funeral you receive a text from the company representative saying that he can't attend - ( even though my partner also worked for them for 17 years)
5) When you raise a grievance regarding these issues amongst others, you are not given your right to be legally represented. It takes them just over two months to come back with a response.
6) Four months later the company write to your partner, telling him that as he "left" the company on the 2nd May ( the day before he died) he is not eligible to buy shares with the money he saved.
7) The company write to your partner 10 days after he dies, congratulating him on his bonus.
8) The Chief Executive in his letter of condolence tells you he is sorry about your husband, even though you were never married and had different surnames.
9) The company stop paying you sick pay as they claim you got a sick note from the doctor on the day your partner died. When in fact it was a month later.
10) The company send you a copy of your contract, and then address it to a different name.
There is more...I am waiting for my appeal outcome to all of this which they have tried to cover, I have a rep dealing with this. But ultimately if you didn't get the outcome you wanted from this, would you expose these people, and if so, how? I have had to move out of the premises, as I could no longer tolerate what all of this was doing to me mentally.

Just me....but I think I'd sue for slander.....
Sorry that you are having to deal with all this on top of losing your husband. (Whether you had the papers or not, doesn't matter). I would definitely get what is rightfully yours in the matter that you have the rep working for you but as far as the rest...........It's not easy to do, but sometimes it is better to just walk away from all this insensitive "garbage" for lack of a better word as you stated what it was already doing to you mentally. They are not worth it !!!! Sorry, I just don't want it to add to your stress and they will probably continue on as before so what have you gained !!! People will know the truth as this probably isn't the first time they have acted like this.........hugs
SO SORRY you are having to deal with all of this, and SHAME on the company for treating you this way.
that said, I have to agree with Karl. If it will benefit you and Thom in any way, then persue. If not though, and it's just revenge, although I UNDERSTAND the sentiment when it defames anyone, I'd leave it be, and know that you are the bigger person. I know that doesn't seem like consolation now, but if there is nothinhg but more heartache for you, and nothing tangible that comes out for your betterment, than it's just not worth it, as much as it may make you feel better , it's only and instant thing, and the working on your own life with Thom is.
