anger is a defense mechanism against a much deeper pain.
I have gone through deeply hurtful things in life, and let myself get sidetracked by anger from time to time. it does nothing, except serve as a temporary, and not-as-healthy, shield to feeling hurt.

Scream at a bush or anything. But seriously, finding someone to blame and be angry with will still find you where you are. They do say the anger stage is part of the grief process...I'm 2 years and never went through that stage. We all go through this grief at different speeds...the one common piece is its going to hurt, we are going to cry and we need to let the tears flow to come out the other side.
My tactic has been to put on loud music and go for a walk. I walk until I am not angry anymore. Last one took 3 hours!
Then, my sadness turned to anger. Anger at my not seeing the symptoms sooner and saving his life. Anger at my not spending more time with him.......yes, this looks like guilt too! Anger and guilt have now become my triggers and it seems I need to eat to comfort me.
I have now created a new problem for me. It's a cycle and until normalcy hits I guess I'm on it!!!
