Moment by moment. Step by step. There will be light again. Just not yet. Not right now. You are so young for all this. I am so very sorry for your great loss. Big hugs, Marcy

It is natural to grieve the loss of our beloved spouse. They meant everything. The most important person in our lives. My beloved wife passed on suddenly and unexpectedly on 02/06/12, at the age of 49. All of our dreams are gone and our future is also.
I am devastated without her by my side. I cry often, mostly everyday. I cry when I do not know I need to cry and then there are times when I know there are tears welling up inside of me that need to be released. Sorrow tends to surface often since she passed on. That is part of the grief process.
There is a lingering internal aching in my heart and soul. Only our beloved spouse can fill that place within. I do not pretend to have any answers for myself or anyone.
I do know that there are those who have gone through this grief process and have progressed. That is a positive example to draw resourceful ideas from.
Please do not hear me not validating your intense emotions. I understand. I feel intense emotions too. Today I did have a smile in my heart for a moment when I remembered how much my beloved wife loved me. It was a brief moment. However that is major progress for me. I have not smiled in my heart since she passed on.
I am learning to focus on what I did that is progressive during my day. This seems to uplift my thought toward feeling gratitude for the deep bond of love my beloved wife and I shared.
Come here often and feel free to speak what is on your mind or in your heart. DS Group is a lifesaving resource. Many folks here have offered much insight and the are the real deal when it comes to understanding and offering compassion when we need it the most.
Thank you for sharing where you are in this process of learning to live again. You are NOT alone!

you're in my prayers,

I am so sorry for your circumstance, i see your pain in your words. It is the pain that we all feel. Our circumstances may not be exactly the same, but the pain cuts just as deep. Just remember that you are stronger than you think, and with faith you will have victory over this terrible calamity, even though it doesn't seem that way now. We are here for you, we understand what you are going through, we understand your pain like only those who are going through it too can understand it. No one not living this kind of tragedy can truly know what you are feeling, so it is good that you are with us.Do not give up, hang in there and have faith, the Lord will see you through this and we are here to help you as well. I will keep you in my prayers. God Bless you, Sal.
The first 6 months the pain is so excruciating, it is hard to explain. I thought it would always be like that. You go through so many different emotions and you feel like you are on a roller coaster that is spinning out of control, but you can't get off.
Be kind to yourself as I believe this is the hardest thing we will ever have to go through in our lifetime. It is one small baby step at a time. Our minds and body can not handle everything at once o it is a long painful process.
I still feel lost and miss my husband so much but the excruciating pain does ease up as you work through your grief. I didn't think it would but it is not as intense as it was earlier.
Know that you do not have to travel this journey alone, with the help of the people here, you will make it day by day.....wishing you some peace and healing in the days to come........hugs
I'm so sorry for all the pain you are feeling and wish you didn't have to feel any of it as I know how bad it is.
I lost my husband in February 2011 and found this wonderful group early on after. It was the single best thing I did in those days and still is a place of comfort, and undertstanding when I have none!
the WHYS of it all is what tears at us everday. It was my middle name in the early months. Wanted answers and have found that there are NONE. I agree with you that they are BETTER HERE with the ones who love them so much. And not knowing WHY makes you crazy wondering......The only thing that helped me was this site, and my children. Looking on them as the legacy of he and I and helping them grow was helping HIM also. I hope that helps you too. The kids now need YOU as you said they have lost both parents, and now they look to YOU to show them how to do and what to do now.
I look at their faces and see him in them. That has helped so much i can't ecven describe it all. But I bet you know what I'm talking about. He may no longer be here right next to you, but he IS still here in every one of them....and in YOU.
HUGS of welcome and of understanding. Know you are no longer alone. You have many friends who care Diane
