I feel completely lost. I don't know myself.

I can't find anything. I don't remember anything someone says to me on the phone.

I cry and cry. Our dog died, my best friend died and then my husband died. I had

to sell my home or I should say I gave it away. I sold our belongings because I needed

the money. My sons sold my truck. My husband was ill and spent all our money.

I am gratefull my one son gave me a bedroom and bath in his home with his family.

I have many debts to repay and all my friends are died.

I am so sorry. That is so much to have to go through. I think feeling "lost" and out of sorts must be completely normal when dealing with so much loss at once. It's really awful that during our most difficult times, our most profound grief, we have to deal with so many other changes as well. Hugs to you. I'm glad you are with your son and his family. That sounds nice.

Looking at your challenges as one big horrible ball is overwhelming for anybody. Make separate piles and try to only give energy to what is in your face. Ignore the rest for a later date. Most grief counselors say don’t make any fast decisions for a period of time up to a year if possible. Hopefully you are getting help from a local group or elsewhere. There is plenty of help for moving through this and nobody should walk it alone. As far as debts, can you talk to a professional to take that load off? There are legal aid groups that give legal help for free. concentrate on healing for now. Nothing in my life prepared me for this and I have made a number of mistakes since my wife died last September. Some of my worst decisions were snap ones about money.

I'm so sorry for the loss and hardship. This is such a horrible turn of events. You are doing your best to adapt to this new life. Let the tears flow - give yourself time to grieve all these losses. If you found yourself in the past or the future, gently bring yourself back to the present. Be kind to yourself.

I am so sorry that you are hurting so much. Losing your husband is hard enough without having so many other challenges. Just know that you are among people who care so keep coming here for support. Roxanne

Hi Barbara,
I'm all excited to have a friend. My dog died last May and after that my best friend. It has ben so long since I have had a friend to talk to.
Tell me all about yourself-where do you live, what do you like to do? What happened to you that you are on this website?

Today I feel grateful. Grateful for my dog Blue (Blue Jean Baby Queen, Prettiest girl I've ever seen). Grateful I'm still kickin'. Grateful I'm finally taking responsibility for my health. Grateful I own my home. Grateful for good friends and neighbors who watch over me. Grateful to God for His everlasting love and patience with me.
