I have been clued to the phone, internet waiting for word on my friends place. He finally had to evacuate.

Meanwhile searching web and talking to friends.

This came across my email from my friend who lost her son to cancer two years ago

Death Changes Everything!
Time Changes Nothing!
I still miss the sound of your voice,
the wisdom of your advice,
the stories of your life
and just being in your presence.
SO no, time changes nothing.
I miss you as much today as I did the day you died.
I just miss you.

I can only add in time adjusting and accepting they are gone - what choices are there otherwise.

Praying for you and friends!!! The poem is true, but, we do adjust ~~ because that is what we have to do to survive.
