Scottie........here here I do so enjoy all your post!!

My precious husband died 2-6-08. That means I have been widowed over 9 years. I remarried in 2010. I now have a much different, but still precious husband. and yet, sometimes, I still grieve. I just miss Tim sometimes. I check this site daily and enjoy your posts. Please do not let your sensitivity win out. Take care.

I can only say that my posts have and continue to help me immensely. I can only hope that there be someone that finds common ground with perhaps some of my thoughts that find their way on cyber-paper. Seems we all reach a point where we back away from this very site that helped pull us out of the pit. But some of us discover that we have no other outlet, that we continue to need whatever it is that we draw from here. Hopefully we discover that we are not the only one that thinks this grief should have ended a long time ago. Our common ground is the realization that we are not unique in our grief, not alone, and certainly not un-fixable. Way I look at it, the longer we are in grief, the more expertise we acquire. And to that end, we have but one audience ---- each other. Each of you in your own special way have always found a way to keep me going. I thank you and send to each the biggest cyber-hug I can muster your way. ~~~ Scottie

I leave you tonight with this thought. Many years ago, I drudged my way through 7 years of higher education to become a so-called "expert" in the law. And just as in life, I only discovered how little I knew and how much I didn't know. Never had a clue. Probably never will. But I never (almost) belly-ached about how much time achieving my so-called expert status took me. That is, until my grief got a hold of me, held me captive, and took way more time than I ever imagined. So just maybe, the length of our grief holds no bearing on anything except how well we've come to know it, ever-learning how to live with it. Dang, we've become experts in grief. And they said we'd never amount to anything ....... I wonder if there is an award given for longevity in grief? Sometimes I see myself as that poor guy in the intro of ABC's wide world of sports that crashes and burns doing that his ski jump thing. The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat. Not sure about victory, but we all have become acutely aware of the meaning of agony. Bedtime for this Bonzo.

Absolutely love and look forward to all your posts. Very inspirational writing. If you're going to only post in your journal, you have to share on WW board that the journal post is there so we can still read. I'm only 5 months into this journey and NEED to read from others who are further along. ❤

Scottie, unless its the "leaders", or offending a bunch of people (which it looks like, no one is offended) then keep writing.. There are always going to be people that don't like us for whatever reasons. I enjoy them... love, carla.. aka jane
