pd45 wondered about getting groups together. That made me wonder where the members of this group are located? I've met some nice friends here, but not too close. Anyone else in my neck of the woods? Port Orange, Florida. If we could just find another person, perhaps we could begin to add others with posted local notices, etc. I think I could put up a notice at the local library or maybe in the Pennysaver or such. Got any good ideas?

I live SW of Atlanta GA in Fairburn. My husband died suddenly on 2/27/13 from a massive heart attack, he was also my best friend. We moved here a little over a year ago. We met a few people here and they have been great. Most of my family and friends are from NJ, VT & KY. Would love to meet people in this area. Please contact me. Never felt so alone in my life.

Central Coast of California (Los Osos/Baywood Park) here.

FYI, some of the "older" (not age-wise, but members who have been on this site for awhile) members HAVE gotten together at meet-ups (in Las Vegas, Iowa and now, in August, will be meeting in Pennsylvania - see group on this website "WidowWidowers Get Togethers"), but I think it's a good idea to find others from this site who live in your IMMEDIATE area and with whom you might be able to get together. Sounds like those who have done so have become bosom friends.
