Blessing, Peace, Hope and Prayers for all that are hurting this morning... Mark
How you are feeling now is quite normal. My husband passed away July 28, 2016, and he did so much for me. I was a great husband, and best friend. Sometimes we don't realize how much we take the other person for granted because we just assume they will also be there with us. My husband cooked dinner for me, did the laundry, drove me anywhere I wanted to go. We traveled, went to the movies like teenagers, dancing, casinos, and just about everything. So I'm missing a lot because now I have to do everything by myself. You just feel lost rite now with no sense of direction. I know who you feel, because anyone who has lost a spouse will feel the same why. The sadness in your heart never leaves, you just eventually try to focus on other things to take your mind off of the pain for a little while. I try to stay busy a lot, and I work 12 hours a day.
When my first husband died, I felt the pain you are describing. It was unbearable and it was crushing and it was hard to breath or to function but I had a business to run and two young children to look after. I learned meditation and deep breathing and that helped a lot.
Your loss is quite fresh so it does not surprise me that you are experiencing such tremendous pain. It comes with the loss.
Give time, time. The loss will always be there, but the pain will diminish.
