What did you and your spouse love to do together

My husband and I love to eat out. We were like food critics. We would be at the restaurant for the grand opening and when they closed for the last time. He didn't like to travel, although when we first married, we would go on cruises, but he confessed he never liked it. He only wanted to please me. So I learned to travel with a group. He would take me to the airport and would be there to pick me up. We loved the movies. But most of all we love to entertain our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He would barbecue, play games and just be the perfect host. He was my second husband and my children loved him as their Dad.

We loved traveling together. We only jet started a couple of years ago but we went on a couple of trips each year. She was always so easing going that it was a joy being with her. I'm going visit my sister in Florida next month and I know it will be hard going on a trip alone.

My husband and I loved to eat out, too. We had favorite restaurants and loved to try new ones. We both liked to make "new restaurant discoveries" to share with each other. I think sometimes of when I was young and would be so nervous about eating on a date, that I ate like a bird. Never so with my husband. From Day One, I was so relaxed with him that I ate full meals and loved trying most new foods. That continued through almost 50 years of marriage. No wonder I went from really thin to not. LOL!

We liked taking vacations. In later years, we especially loved going to Cape May, where we enjoyed the seashore and seeing the Victorian homes.

We also loved mvoes and baseball. (I even learned to rroot for the N.Y. Yankees after growing up as a Brooklyn Dodgers fan!) We liked going for walks together until physical affirmities sort of precluded that; then we liked taking leisurely drives.

I guess my favorite pastime now is remembering all the things we did together..

Eating out or having guests at home was always a great time. most of all though we just wanted to be with each other. at home doing chores, going to the grocery store. if we we're at work we were together. just sitting and holding hands. oh how I miss him. God Bless chipstears

My husband and enjoyed eating out too, but our bigger enjoyment was working on a house project together. We would have opposite opinions, and my husband would enjoy teasing me about my unconventional methods. It would go on for days.

I am glad you asked. This brought back funny memories.

Sharry and I loved to walk with our son in a sunlit autumn woods.We enjoyed decorating our house inside and out for every holiday and season of the year. Loved lingering with coffee after breakfast at Perkins, then taking her shopping. I miss purposely doing and saying things that made her laugh and say "you are sooo weird"!
