I wore his ring around my neck for a while. It was much to heavy and I wanted to figure some other way to keep with me at all times. Laying awake one night not being able to sleep, not sure why but the thought of melting and remolding our rings together into something I will be able to where forever. Not quite ready to switch over to my right and and who knows I may never. This is the result and I am above happy with the results. I also wanted it engraved at the same time but they were unable to unless it was hand engraved. I chose to take my ring with out the engraving. I felt naked, 6 months later I decided it was time. My husband used to say " I still love you" I always thought it was a weirdly endearing. Well now those words are instilled in my heart along with being engraved in our remodeled ring. I still love you Jim and always will!!!
I also saw rings in clear plastic cubes, we thought of doing it as we both "grew out" of the size we wore when we got married, but never got to doing it. Now, our son and his wife have our wedding rings (I offered, they didn't just took them).
A couple months before our 25th anniversary and my husband's cancer diagnosis he took me out and doubled my diamond size. I wore my new rings on my wedding finger for a year. I made the diamond into a pendant but am afraid to wear it for fear of losing it.
Now almost three years later it still feels weird not to wear my wedding ring.
