What's right for one, may not be right for someone else. There are no right or wrong answers. Just do what your heart tells you.
Months after Bill died, I I went to a "jewelry party" (out of obligation) and noticed some rings in the catalog. One ring was named "eternity". It was pretty and modest. I bought the ring to fit on my right index finger. I like to wear it to remind myself that even though he is gone........my relationship with Bill is eternal. So I guess the ring is a widow ring for me. I like to wear it every day on my right hand. My wedding rings on the left hand.
What I did was to fuse them all together, and to also make an emblem on each side of the ring for special moments that he and I only would know. When I got it back, I cried not out of grief this time, but because it isa beautiful tribute to him, I can wear it on my right hand, remember him, and not cry when I look at it. I remember him, us, and our life togther. what we meant to each other and still do. One of the emblems is an eagle. He loved them, and I picture him soaring with them every time I look at the ring now. It reminds me he is free of all the pain he had here.
Whatever you do, wear them, don't wear them, put them away, wear them round your neck, nothing you do is wrong, if it gives you some peace. I know in my heart that that is what our loves want for us in the end. Some peace.
hugs to you, Diane
