The only other piece of jewelry she bought me is in my dresser.
The engagement ring I bought before she came out to England to see me and the wedding band I bought her on the same day she bought mine are in her little jewelry box along with the other rings, bracelets and necklaces I bought her.
On our first Valentine's day together I took her to Paris for the weekend and gave her a diamond solitaire. Our first Anniversary together I bought her a three stone diamond ring.
She told me she loved all her jewelry, especially the things I bought her in England because the stones seemed to shine so brightly.
It wasn't that material things meant so much, it was because she knew I bought these thing because of my love for her. The stones weren't rocks, the jewelry never very expensive. She just loved that I adored her, which I always will.
I can't wear the jewelry I bought her, her hands were small and delicate. She hated how the aged and wanted to do something about restoring their beauty. I tried to tell her the most beautiful thing about them was the way the felt when she held my hand, hugged me or massaged away my pain.
I think in the end I will place them in the urn with her ashes, but not until I know if we are staying in this home. I don't want them lost on the way because I might have to transfer her ashes to the travel container the funeral home gave me.
hugs...
