I'm still wearing my wedding ring that he put on the third finger of my left hand. Only been off a few times in 35 1/2 years (surgery). I love my ring.

A few years ago when we were swimming my wife was wearing both of our rings and mine slipped off her finger and went to the bottom of the lake. She got a new ring and at that point started wearing hers, I can't bring myself to take it off.

Hi Marie -- my DH Ross died suddenly and unexpectedly. When we went to the E.R. my daughter, who was 14 year old at the time, asked for her Dad's wedding ring. The nurse took it off his finger and gave it to her. My daughter spoke at her Dad's memorial and said she would wear that ring until she got married and found someone as wonderful as her Dad. My husband lost his wedding band several years back. I was going to replace it a few years ago but never did. I wear my wedding rings. I sleep in his shirts. I wear some of his clothes. I have not got rid of anything of his. I finally put up a pair of his shoes only because the dogs keep taking off with them. Our wishes were to be cremated with the understanding that the other would take them home and when we were both gone be scattered together. I have done that. I am on a three week trip to see my family for the holidays, and he is with me.

I wear my husbands ring under mine. They hold it in place, it didn't fit on any other finger. I wore it on a chain around my neck at first but was afraid I'd lose it. One day I'll do something different with them all but not today.

I still wear my rings and I gave his to our son who wears it all the time. My husband died unexpectedly while I was at the hospital with our daughter. I just have not had time to except that he's gone since I have to take care of a disabled daughter that requires care 24/7 so everything is still raw to me.

The day of Chris' funeral I put Chris' wedding band on my necklace with my cross. I have worn it every day since. Our wedding anniversary the following year I finally took my wedding ring off and put it away.
I year or so ago someone posted something about a website where they sell widows rings. I never heard about them before. I never bought one but they are a nice thought.

I had my rings and husband's ring designed into a necklace. I wear it often and trust that one day it will be a valued piece of jewelry to one of our daughters; and after that, one of our granddaughters, and so on. I hope that it will be passed down the generations of our family and enjoyed not only for the loveliness of it but for the importance that it holds.

I wore my wedding band and engagement ring about a year after my husband passed. At that time, I was comfortable in removing them. I didn't want to put them in a drawerout of sight but not out of my heartso I came up with the idea of a necklace. I love wearing it, seeing those rings intertwined just as our love was for over 42 years. TJ

i still wear my wedding ring and i wear hers around my neck. never been off of me both rings.

Two minutes after my husband passed, I kissed him, and slipped his ring off his finger. He would never take it off, only when they made him for 2 surgeries, and he made me slip under my ring so would not fall off my finger. I have his glasses, his ring, in my curio across from my chair, where I can always see them. Because of diamonds in his ring and its so large the jeweler said he could not cut down because of design with losing the integrity of design. I was going to wear it always. I have not decided yet what to do with it. I am very sentimental. He gave me a wonderful special designed journey necklace last Christmas, because of the difficult journey we had been on, and how thankful he was that I was by his side, so I can't wear as necklace. Someone said I might have it made into bracelet, somehow attaching to heavy chain, not sure, but will do something special with it!! Ellen (healing since 11-11-09)

I wear my DHs ring on a chain, because his fingers were 2 big. I also wear the thumb print that the funeral home did for me and it fits right in the middle of the ring perfect. I never take it off. We were married 7yrs this Dec 21 he passed away April 21 of this yr.

I had my wife's wedding ring fitted to match mine and had them welded together. I will always wear them together now.

The nurse at he hospital gave me his wedding righ and his watch when I got to the hospital after the accident. I put it on my thumb. His hand was so swollen they could get it on for the funeral and I continue to wear it. I moved my wedding righs to my right hand at 9 months. But lately when I put on hand cream I put it back on my left. I gues I will know when to time is right to take it off.

I have my husbands wedding ring. The original was lost some time ago, and I had bought this one for him to replace it. I wear it occaisionly. It is painful for me to look at it most of the time. I took my rings off after the funeral because to me they symbolized the pain of losing him and the fact that I was no longer a wife. I bought a widows ring and that is what I wear everyday.
