Well, I celebrated a birthday recently and started thinking how I'm only one year younger than my husband when he passed. Well, that was depressing to think that he's been gone that long. It was a running joke with us to laugh about the six years that separated our ages.
Anyhow, determined to get myself out of depression and back to the happy person my husband knew and loved, I started thinking about the humorous moments that reminds us we're not young.

1) I remember when the Xmas sweater was actually considered cute. Now young people are buying them and think they're.... ugly! Yikes! They're paying money for them and having ugly Xmas sweater contest, posting them on the web.

My mom passed away on June 18th. I was her cargiver and only child. Although she was 89 years young and it was "expected" I don't know how to BREATHE without her. I stay busy throughout the day but I can only do that so long until I burn out! I'm all alone now and don't know what I'm going to do!! I can only fake it for so long. I'm TIRED of losing my people!!!!

How do I know I'm not young anymore? Oh, so many reminders!
But a big one is my baby boy turned FORTY on Sunday.
How did that happen? 40 years, in the blink of an eye.
In fact policeman look so young too nowadays.

I remember watching Milton Berle's comedy show and Ed Sullivan on Sunday nights.
I remember when I couldn't wait to get home from Junior High so I could dance with and watch Dick Clark and American Bandstand on our black and white console T.V.
I remember when I had to go to Thrifty Drug Store to find a pay phone so I could call my Mom and ask if I could go to my friends house.
I have tons more........unbelievable!
