I do question one line:"Just because some women have chosen to close their minds and their hearts to anything romantic or sexual..." This is a personal choice. I had a really decent marriage to someone that I thought the world of. I do not wish to have that experience again. My call. I have guys that are friends, buddies....I have a full plate that God has handed me and I feel life can be rewarding. I do not need a man to make me feel that life is worthwhile.
For family reasons, I am back in Ireland for a bit and I am back at the convent I one time thought I might become part of. It is a place where I find comfort and peace. How good it seems to be part of morning devotions again and part of the fellowship of the sisters. I will be here untill I can bring my 7 year old sister to the states. peace and blessings to you, Joe. Kaaren
I wish there was a bubble "this" widow could walk in sometimes so no one would ever say the wrong thing to me, would never do the wrong thing to me, and never act the wrong way towards me. Apparently because I am a widow I am entitled to a higher level of behavior from people??? When I was at the beginning of my journey I unknowingly believed this but now 2 years out I really understand how much the world, human behavior, hasn't changed BUT, I have. And as suckish as this is gonna sound we are now the leaders in this particular arena of life. We cannot expect those that have not traveled this path to understand our sensitivities. We are the educators, like it or not.
