children don't have any of the cynical stuff we adults have, so they are it seems much more open to it!
What a gift to have happen!

When i was a child I had experiences but they are not so clear in my mind now. I think maybe I thought it was just a joke and I didn't think anything strange about it because it was normal to me. It was not until I was 14/15 that I had a real experience with a person whom I knew to be dead, my mother. I won't go into details but I listened to what she said and she saved my life when I was in a very dangerous situation.
Now jump forward about 11 years. I took my 3 yo niece to a birthday party at what used to be my grandmother's house. My niece didn't know that it used to be my grandmother's house. She new it as my cousin's house. We were all outside and my niece started screaming and banging on the cellar door 'grandma is down there, grandma is down there. I have to go down there." She wouldn't stop and I had to take her away from the party. As an aside, my niece also has the psychic 'gift/curse" that runs in my family.
Jump ahead another 8 years or so. My cousin who was still living in what was our grandparents house now has three kids. The youngest (about 4 at the time) keeps insisting that his father is sick and needs to go to the doctors and he knows this because "the ladies" told him. My cousin and his wife, knowing the family history go to the doctors. My cousin had to have an emergency heart bypass or he would have died. The ladies were our aunts who passed down the gift/curse and who used to live in the house. That same little boy saved his father's life again when he was told about a "bump" in the head. My poor cousin had/has a brain tumor.
I still have a hard time with all of this but I know that there is something because I have had way too many experiences. I also know that it is nothing to fool with and that as much as I want to scream and beg Bob to come back, it is not a good thing to do.

I've read quite a bit about NDE's (near death experiences) since Raymond Moody first wrote about them in the mid-70's. Convincing stuff. Even Plato wrote about NDEs.
Interesting thread!
dreams of loved ones that i have lost letting me know that they are ok and with me always, the moral of the story here it is nice to know that our loved ones are in a better peaceful place and are always with us in spirit i find it comforting to the soul
Yes I was implying that it is not a good thing to try to contact the dead. I was taught "not to call the dead" and that they will contact you when needed. However, just like everyone else sometimes I can't help myself.
I do have a spiritual adviser/psychic that I have been going to for a little over 20 years. I am very leery of psychics to begin with given my family history and because I know how they play off of people's vulnerable spots. But when i went to this woman, I knew she was the real deal. It would take a book to tell you all the things that she told me that came to pass. But I will tell you that she told me about Bob before I ever met him and she told me how it was going to end. And after he died she told me that I could not have a reading for three months and that I shouldn't try to conjure up anything myself because those that have passed over are still confused for a period of time.
As for yelling and screaming at Bob, I did that a lot at first. I was furious with him. My adviser had his picture because she had been praying for him. After one night of particularly violent yelling, she called me. She told me that his picture had fallen on its own accord and that night he came to her in a dream. He told her three things. One was something that only four people knew, two were already dead and my friend would have no other way of knowing. The second thing he said was "why is she so mad at me" he was upset because I was so mad. That is not a good thing. He could feel my anguish. The last thing he told her was that he was making a way for me.
So I just think that the golden rule my aunts told me "don't call the dead" was actually good advice. Now when I cry, i always tell Bob that I cry because I miss you not because I am mad or because I want you to come back to this plane.
I don't know if that makes any sense to you but that is what I meant.
