As I write I still find myself in a state of disbelief.

My husband of 41 years passed away on 10th November, not even three weeks ago, after a short and aggressive battle with Pancreatic cancer.

No symptoms other than a stiff arm.....still trying to get my head around it.

Don't know whether this website will help me work through my emotions but I have to try something.

I am so sorry for your loss. My husband who was 51, just lost his 4.5 year battle with kidney cancer a month ago. I just joined this because I feel so lost and I miss him so much.

Please know you are not alone. I lost my husband of 30 years suddenly at home on 9/18. I still cannot believe it. I wait for him to call or just walk in the door. Every single thing in this house reminds me of him. I miss him. I don't know if that ever goes away? I think I am dealing with it and managing everything as I know he would want me to. Talking to other people who have experienced this is very comforting. Please write to me anytime. Jeanne

This place helps me to feel accepted and cared for :) What more do i need..no one in my life understands...and all expect me to be this way and that way...and i am Really good at ignoring them all,you will be too..So Sorry your here but we are all together so am not as alone...(Hugs ))

I'm so sorry for your loss. I also lost my husband on 10th Nov and even though it's less than 3 weeks, it feels like 3 months. I'm also hoping that this website helps me with my emotions too x

We are all in the same boat here, I lost my husband of 34 years on 4/11/16, still miss him very much, in my mind, I know he is gone and won't be back, but at the same time part of me still keeps expecting him to come back. As time goes on, I break down less often, but I still miss him and love him just as much as I did when he departed. I don't think that is ever going to change. I try not to think about my life without him, I don't think of him as being gone forever, I know one day I will see him again.

Thank you all. It's comforting to know there are others going through such pain. Today has been really tough. My first day on my own as family all getting "back to normal". What is normal??

I am fortunate to have family and friends who care but it is the feeling of total emptiness that I find hard to deal with.

I live in Australia and I think this is mainly a U.S. site? Hope to continue chatting from time to time. Love to all x
