This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
I decided to go this afternoon and overall, I think it will help me. I will have to miss next week's session due to a prior committment but I think that will be OK.

I think you will find that being with others who understand will be a help to you so am glad that you made the decision to give it a try. I attended a widow and widower's grief group at a local hospital for about a year, and it was a great help to me. At least for that two hours once a week, I felt I could share and have others know just how I was feeling. Glad that you are glad that you went. Roxanne

Hi Poppies. It's not a bad idea to give it a try.........the worst that could happen would be that you didn't like it and didn't go back. But you might find it helps.

I went to one scheduled by hospice and found it very helpful. In fact we often met for lunch in between, after getting to know each other. Sharon
