The Friends I Have Never Met


It's strange to have a friend that you have never hugged,
Shook their hand or looked into their eyes.

But you have been touched by their soul,
Seen the good in their hearts and felt the warmth of their being.

The friends I have never met are not my friends untouched,
For I have felt them with me when I needed them.

I have confided in them and they are some of the kindest
people I have ever known.

My Friends, Never Forget Just How Special You Are To Me.

If it weren't for my friends here and on facebook I wouldn't be where I am right now. If I left it up to my physical friends here in my city I'd probably be in an institution right now !

So true...I feel more connected to my DS friends than to any others except for one. I know I can always get support here. Yes friends don't always have to be flesh and blood....and I'm so grateful for this board. When I feel lonely nor fearful, I come here.

You said it all so perfectly Laurie. The feeling is mutual my friend. We are here for each other through all the heartache, and lift each other when we fall. True friends in every sense of the word.

I, too, thank you for putting into words what we all feel. I haven't written much here, but I do visit often, and always come away knowing I am not alone in my grief. Sue

Beautiful Laurie! The people here on DS made me feel like I wasn't crazy and that it is okay to grieve and heal at my own pace. There is comfort in knowing that folks here understand the rollercoaster of emotions and "get it". Bless all of you.
