I am so sorry for you loss ( Hugs) Mine left 3 years ago,we were together for 36 years. It's hard these weird empty feelings and i know the shock. Take care of yourself because he would want you to. Just remember how much love you have and know he will always be in your heart.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Yes, we all understand the pain and difficulty of navigating our lives without our other half. And it really feels that way, that a huge part of us is missing. People who have not experienced such a loss can’t comprehend what this is like. That is why it is so important to connect with those who do get it. I found a group early on shortly after losing my husband 4 years ago. It is Soaring Spirits International. They offer multiple Resources world wide and you can find them on the internet. There are local regional groups that meet and socialize. Although I don’t participate as much as I did in the past, I do occasionally and keep in touch with some other widows I have met. Other people have found Griefshare helpful. They can also be found online to locate local groups. Whatever you do, please know that you are not alone in this and time does ease the pain. Never completely, because how could it when we lost our loves? But I have found it is an easier burden to bear the more time that passes. I still miss him every day and know I will do so until we meet again when I die, but I’m able for the most part to live my life and be ok. Not easy, but it is up to us to try to live a life worth living. Find things that you enjoy and a few people that can provide companionship at times. I also found that taking care of myself physically helped me emotionally. Physical activity can be something to keep you busy and lift your mood as well. Continue to post here and you should get some support so that you know you are heard. Sometimes we just need that to get through each moment. I wish you peace

I am so sorry for your loss. I too have lost my husband just this past month on 9/4/19. We were married for 33 years. I guess the fact that your sister was at the funeral to be there for you should be of some comfort, but I understand how you feel. I have a sister too who is not always aware of her inability to be there for others. I am glad I found this group and hope that I can relieve some of this terrible pain I am in right now.
