Just some responses, I do have two sons and they will do the camping trips with me, although I doubt they would enjoy a cruise and kicking around some foreign port.
I traveled on business a lot and sometimes would take in the local sights, but I usually thought to myself this would be so much better with Lil Bear here. It would even be OK if I could just share the experience when I got home.
I checked out that cruise ship, the Epic, and the studio cabins look interesting. I am not sure but NCL appears a bit pricey, seems like I could pay for two spots in an interior cabin on a different line for the price of a single studio there. That said I am probably going to force myself to do a cruise sometime this coming year.
Linda, actually I am in SoCal, about 30 miles north of LA. I would be interested in seeing what this Travel Club is all about.
Thanks all, I may not know what to do but I now know I am going to be doing something!

http://www.women-traveling.com/, I have not tried them yet but I am thinking about it. I do not find an equivalent for men. When you think of it that is sort of unfair,.
I have a much younger girlfriend who travels solo all the time and loves it. TJ I loved your post, it has me ready to get up and go.
