Im sorry you are having to go through the one year anniversary, I just went through it. I did survive, of course with a few bumps and bruises. You will get through this, and allow yourself to feel those feelings, and let it out, dont hold it in. You dont have to be strong for anyone, if you don't want to. I know your husband is proud of you for pushing through this far. It's so hard to believe, I am learning to accept that my sweet husband is not with me physically anymore, but I do believe my husband will always be in my heart. The hardest days to get through are those special days -- birthdays, anniversaries and the date of their passing. I have decided, for me, to plant something in the garden. Today was "our" 29th wedding anniversary. I picked up his picture this morning and just told him how much I missed him, especially today on our anniversary and sorry he wasn't on this earth anymore. Then continued with the day. Carla is so right, your husband will always be in your heart. Many hugs to you and much peace.

Hi Mary, Honestly, I don't want to experience the one year date, but I know I have no choice. If there is anything positive about it, it will be that the year of the firsts without is finally over. Just also passed all my firsts...they were hard...i think the hardest day for me was the day that all of this happened...Not the one year anniversary...I had such anticipation of what the day would bring when it finally came I just carried on...I thought of only happy thoughts and talked about him as if he was still here...I miss him every minute of every day but I know that he is here with me in my heart...That is where he will always be...I will always love him and always miss him...I have been told that if I feel down and sad just let it out don't hold it in..Cry, yell do whatever it takes...and let me tell you I do..hugs to you and remember you are not alone...although we are not physically together we are always here for each other...

I wish I could find a way to sleep thru that day. It's getting closer and closer. I have to see it as I look at each day I guess, That it's one year closer to when I will see her again.
