I pick John and Jason up from the airport at 12:30. I have been talking with him through messaging and Skype for the last four months. He is still a very nice guy. He will spend a week here. (Not at my house but at a hotel down the road.)
9 months ago I signed up as a widow. I joined this group not knowing how to do much more than breathe. I couldn't sleep. I survived. In this time, so much has changed. I am ME! I have made new friends. I have maintained a life for my daughter and sons.i have let go and I have become very comfortable with my feelings. I don't mind the sadness when it comes anymore. It passes. I have great support.
Will you say a prayer for me today? I'm bringing in 2014 with John and his son and my family and friends. I believe it's going to be good. The past is behind me, the future lies before me.

Right on. Prayer said.

We have to take a step in some direction to try to change the course of our lives for the better. Otherwise, it's like walking up and down the same shoreline, or wading in the same muddy waters.

Yep, I hear ya. I'm still dragging the anchor a little. I'll have to write a poem how grief is like a sailboat ride to the other shore.
