Oh Kim, I'm sorry because I do not know yet what it must be like for you. Juanita's birthday was about 3 weeks after she passed, and I was still in shock and it just kinda passed without much thought. But this May 31st will be different, I suspect a very sad day for me -- more so than most of my other days. Hugs to you ~~~ Scottie

Grief is hard enough and then we get hit with their birthdays, anniversary dates. The human heart can only take so much. When my husband passed, our anniversary was 12 days later. I just plant something beautiful now out in my garden as a remembrance, Last Wednesday was the date of his passing, and Monday will be our anniversary.. Everything I have planted is thriving and blooming so it brings a smile. My husband loved gardening.

    Today I feel grateful. Grateful for my dog Blue (Blue Jean Baby Queen, Prettiest girl I've ever seen). Grateful I'm still kickin'. Grateful I'm finally taking responsibility for my health. Grateful I own my home. Grateful for good friends and neighbors who watch over me. Grateful to God for His everlasting love and patience with me. Grateful I survived the 10 years since my wife of 30 years...
