Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
What I'm trying to do (at three months) is slow down a little, breathe more deeply on purpose, and be really kind to myself. There's a lot of headaches, work, struggle, and sadness ahead, I know, but each day that I'm here on earth I try to have some pleasure and some laughter. We deserve it, and I know for sure that my husband would have wanted it no other way.
My best to you take care of yourself.
Of course, you're tired - doing yourself what both of you shared when he was living. And, grief, itself, is exhausting. Please be kind to yourself and rest. During these early days of grief, if you don't take care of yourself you can become ill. Leave as much of the "stuff" as you possibly can - for another time. Right now, it's all about YOU.
Hugs,
Terry
