I'm at 10 months and they still hit. I compare it to standing in the ocean with your back to the waves. You know there's another one coming just not when or how big it will be. As jh46 noted the job is to be still standing after it hits and hope they get smaller and less frequent over time.

I think that is something that happens to everyone. Even simple little things would go wrong and I would start to cry because my husband was th one who always took care of everything for me.

Janice, I am at 15 months and for myself the grief waves hit for a while. At first I thought oh my gosh am I ever gonna catch a break. But they do come farther apart. Just remember its healthy to cry. And prayers are with you. God Bless Susan

Well, I thought I could handle donating some of his clothes, especially his sweaters and coats. I went to the closet and started taking some off the rack, and I just grab and put my arms around his suits and started hugging and crying. I can't do it. I ask the Lord to please not think me selfish, because I want to donate his warm sweaters and winter jackets and I just can't. He hadn't worn them in awhile because of his lung cancer. He went from 179 to 112 lbs. I pray for strength to let go so that someone who needs clothing can benefit. I am taking his boots he used in his landscaping duties at our church. He stopped working 1 1/2 years ago and they are in the basement. Please pray for me.

I feel the same as you..... my darling wife left me 26 weeks ago today. I seem to be ok as long as I am working my job, but when I come home... it's such a different world. The loneliness and quietness of our home is sometimes more that I can handle. If not for my faith in God and his help, I don't think I could have made it this far. I tend to ask why am I still here? I still don't understand. My prayers are with you.

I know exactly how you feel. Sometimes I wish ALL OF US could get together & have one big pity party. We're all in this together & we all know how each one of us are feeling.

Just over 3 mos here. Tonight... my sons were all out doin their thing and I lost it... Looking at the pantry, wondering what to have for dinner I broke down and yelled... "Where are you.... why did you have to leave... I am so cold and lonely... we were spossed to grow old together.... what now.... WHAT NOW???" sobbing uncontrolably...

We never asked to be here.... Never could imagine we would be here and what "Here" would be like...

I am so sick and sory for us all and also am thankful to have found such reselient, wonderful and good people!
