Our third anniversary of moving to Arkansas is coming up in the next couple of months. It got me thinking; never a good thing. My Bob died after only six months. How does life go on? Obviously, that is more a statement than a question, but it is a curious one. When he died, there was an obvious bump in my time line. Time stopped. Then, it started. There are times when I feel that I am moving a long in an alternate time line than before. The world is the same, yet there is a slightly different hue of colors. People look and act different, yet they don't really. It is my view hat has changed. I think it had to change, or I couldn't have made it all those months.
When I went on my cruise, about a year ago, it was as if I really started to make a connection with my world again. It was a real turning point. I do find that if I am tired, or just thinking of our marriage, it is easy to fall back into that little time bubble. I don't mind it, because I know it is my safety net, always waiting for me, should I retreat.
Did others of you ever experience this little time bump at the time you became a widow or widower?
