Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
That is awesome. I think it is great that you are going to carry on with what your husband started. You truly had a special guy that was so thoughtful and did not bring the attention on himself for the good that he was doing.
Stories like this are good to hear.
Patience
What type of organization is it? I would love to do something like that - i've continuously had a book in my hand since i learned to read, and love to share it.
I'm going to sound like sour grapes - a lot! - here, but I'm hoping you have checked into this organization and confirmed that they are legit and that, indeed, Ken had been supporting them. (I worked in law firms for years and saw too much fraud, which has made me a cynic :) .)
That said, I was always raised to give anonymously; i.e., a true gift from the heart does not need recognition. Sounds like your Ken was raised in like manner. And, good for you to continue carrying on his tradition.
Hugs,
Terry
