The things I did before suck really bad now like going gorcey shopping , paying bills so on. I really never like to gorcey shop but it was always easier with him here. First I would make a list of what we would eat for every night of the week and than I would asked him if every thing sounded good. While I would out I would call him and say do you want a goody or some ice cream. I dont have that any more and it kills me . I just want to be able to call him and asked what he wants for dinner . This will be my first real shopping trip with out him and I dont know if I can get thru it . I know it sounds so silly but I never realized how much I counted on him for everything in my life . I have been reading your posts about not wanting to be in grocery store/supermarket after your loved one had gone. Until reading your stories I thought I was the only one who got upset having to be grocery shopping without my beloved husband, as we also used to do this together. I also had a problem with walking thru the men's dept of the clothing stores. Having said all that it has gotten better over time (nearly 4 1/2 yrs).
It's good to know that we all go thru pretty much the same things, and that we are not 'silly' to have the feelings we have.
