I wish my husband was here. I remember watching Get Smart, The Man From Uncle, and James Bond when I was younger. All that technology was so much fun to watch. We all knew things such as pen phones and shoe phones didn't exist which made it so much fun. Nowadays technology has moved so fast that you don't know whats real or just futuristic scifi dreams.

Here's my problem: I just bought a home and discovered this thing hanging in a tree outside my bedroom window. Let me describe it. It's sitting on a long stick about the size of a tree limb. It has two blue, sort of square shapped things on each side. It's not easy to get a better look.

In the time I discovered it my imagination has run wild. Is it a camera? Is it some sort of scanning devise? Is it some sort of satelite or cable equipment? It is not connected to anything, so sometimes I don't think about it. Then I think, they've got wireless technology now. It could be anything, and me living alone. If my husband was here he'd find out what it is. I could ask my son-in-law but that would require him driving all the way over here after leaving work, just to see some silly thing in the tree.

I thought about getting a long something and knocking it out, but then I thought, what if it falls on me? Headline: Woman stabbed in the head while trying to get unknow thing out of tree.

I thought about opening my window, leaning out, and maybe getting a curtain rod to push it out. Then I thought about another headline: Passerby stabbed in head as woman knocks unknown thing out of the tree.

So, it's still there. And I'm still wondering what on earth it could be. Meanwhile I contacted the association, so I'm hoping they'll do something to get it down. I can't picture living with it forever.
