I cry as I write this, I'm nearly 14 months into this life. My world was bombed with grief last May when we lost Ric, since then I have achieved many milestones, Ric would be proud. I have a nice house and car, some money in the bank, our son is settled in school around the corner from where we live - he plays out every day with his friends, I have achieved my Teaching Asst. qualification with a distinction, I have a job that gives me a better work life balance, and I have been called today for an interview next week for my ultimate goal job as a TA working with young kids.
But I don't have Ric, I don't have him here with us and I don't have his love, his craziness, his sense of humour, his love and support for our son - and this is the ONE thing I so desperately want - the icing on my cake.
This life is so cruel and tough. My pain has gotten easier but my love will never die, and not one day has passed without thinking and remembering the great person that I lost.

One where I do all the things I need to do, do things in life just going along which nothing biggy but its ok I am doing and making it.
And one where I just go in the I am lonely moments, and sadness wishing he would be here.
Unfortunately for me I am the type wanting to know what is supposed to be happening next....and not knowing is the pits...And I agree with Martha the plans we had made and the unfairness of now none is just the pits but accepting it sometimes you do and sometimes on days ya don't.
