Good old Emily Post. There are so many choices that everyone should find something that works for them. I never used Mrs. Michael which I guess has to do with being in a business and the rebelion of the generation. Just glad to see I do not have to be a MS.

Good ole Emily Post!! So many ways to address someone. Thanks for the review (for me anyway.....lol ~~ Business Ed degree).
I always preferred Mrs. ~~ when my husband was alive. BUT, I also used Ms. a LOT of times over the years. I now prefer Ms. because ~ W/O my Mr. ~~ I no longer like to see Mrs. Joe............ just me. Rather be Ms.
Grieving is hard enough and each has to make their own way through it, and that goes for titles too.

I changed to Ms too. Mrs sounded too much like I still had a spouse or soul-mate.

What about the wedding ring? I was always advised if I wanted to wear it to wear it on my right hand.
That is what I do anyway! I wore that same ring for over 44 years and taking it off just did not feel right.

Thank you for sending Ms. Emily to us. I still feel very much married to my sweet husband even though he has been gone 10 months. I'm glad I can still use his name, if I choose. Most of the time, I sign Mrs. Claire ... but there may be formal situations where I want to sign Mrs. Wayne....
