I had a rough night and woke up the same this morning. Roller coaster was on the downswing, again...feelings of guilt and what if I had...
Went out to get the newspaper, poured my coffee, all still feeling hopeless and helpless. As I stood out on my deck, checking on the newly-planted sunflowers, I thought about how there are so many medications that help ease so many ills: diabetes, cancer, blood pressure, etc., etc., but there is no magic pill to ease grief and loss. But, then, epiphany! Oh, yes, there IS a magic pill for grief and loss, and that pill is this website. Here I find people who care and their caring is definitely a magic pill. To repeat so many of your posts: family, friends, neighbors may not understand and let you down (mostly unwittingly), but EVERYONE on this site is suffering from the illness of grief and loss and EVERYONE, no matter at what stage they may be in this process, understands perfectly how I feel. They listen, advise, share and empathize and they care. THEY CARE. What more could a person give to another person than of themself and by sharing his/her humanity? This truly is a magic pill and it so eases my pain, I simply am overwhelmed. THAT makes me cry, too, but the tears over that are truly healing. THANK YOU ALL FOR JUST BEING HERE AND FOR CARING.

Just so you know that YOU are part of that group of wonderful people that is making walking this journey with others, a little less painful....wishing you to get back on the upside of that roller coaster soon..................hugs
