I am deeply sorry to hear of the silence and emptiness that pervades without your beloved Charlie. I understand.
I too look around at our home that is noticeably hushed and void of my beloved wifes warm spiritedness.
We always had a tidy home. Clean and neat. Warm and welcoming. Yet without my beloved wife, clean does not fill the heart and soul like her love did so beautifully.
I so understand the sentiments of your posting, Julie.

I do not even have a bed now at this point. The bedroom is horrible and my son in law started plastering and is going to paint this weekend. then he is ripping up a 60 year old rug and putting down a new floor. He asked if I wanted to pick it out and truly I just dont care. I told him put anything down..doesnt matter.
I clean my dishes and go to the laundromat but that is it. Since I no longer work due to my disability, doing anything is hard enough but without Joe to be there...it just doesnt seem to matter to me anymroe. Hope one day I feel good about where I live again. I was always so clean and decorative....Ann
I don't see the point, lost 10lbs. I hope I might start cooking in the fall when it is coller.
Peace to you

Whenever I do start a house cleaning project I usually end up in tears in about 45 minutes. I am not sure how to help either one of us. We all miss our loved ones and are so incomplete without them.
Hugs to you. Darlene

Horse manure that I trudge down the hallway - I look at it and shrug my shoulders...tomorrow
Straw and hay from front door to back door where dogs go out...I do sweep once a month...until I finally just get disgusted or I know someone is coming.
Dust....sometimes....
I finally did do some soul searching and said ok flooding is over time to work on house but than lawn needs mowing or watering, horses need brushing, weeds need pulling or sprayed...and the garage is looking better and better...
I think tomorrow I need to clean house....sigh
I can relate to what you are saying. Life changes in so many ways when you lose a loved one. Prior to my husband's passing four months ago life was too busy to manage keeping everything in its place. I worked full-time and came home prepared dinner and we spent time together. Now there isn't any one to cook for and pick up after. I have two children still living with me but they are pretty self-sufficient. In addition to losing my husband we downsized our living quarters from a house to an apartment due to a fire a month after his death.
I will clean it more soon, but only because I have too...and probably to sell...so depressing......REALLY MISS OUR LITTLE LIFE...and the little, little things that made us so happy....missubabe. xoxoxo
What can I say? No critters but dust is my friend. Sharon
