Truly, I am so sorry for your loss. Dealing with our emotions are tough for most of us guys. It was for me anyway. I quickly discovered that writing whatever it was I was feeling or going through was so very helpful to me, still is. Do it privately at home, use the journal available to you here, or do more posts. If you are like me, I had no one else in my inner circle. So this board became my inner circle, and I think I would have perished but for the dear friends I made here. All of us in grief have very similar emotions, decisions, and events we suffer through, timing of different depending on the individual, but somewhere along the line it seems someone ahead of us can share what got them through it. The best answer for all of us is time. Lots and lots of time. So hang in there. Can you share how in the world you got a picture attached to your post? That is way cool, and insertion of a picture in a post certainly livens up this board. And your choice of a rose is touching. Is that a peace rose? God bless and comfort you in this your time of need. Scottie

Ken....I lurked on this site for months after my wife past. Finally deciding to register as you did just to say thanks. See how that worked out lol. Stay. Give back. There will always be people taking their first steps on this path that may need our guidance. We have walked the path they are just departing on. The people ahead of us has shown the way. I stayed because I thought I should return the favor. Was I right every time? Of course not. This isn't a exact science. The people behind us need our help. Just as the ones before us helped us. Please stay. The ones still to come need us.

Most of the time I do the same. I'm not really a great writer but I just need to put it somewhere sometimes. I find comfort and healing in those that share. Glad you could experience some of the same.
