I was gun ho on going through this Sr driving class with AARP that I have done before. Got there, seen many neighbors several just back from Arizona and remember last time I was there Roger and I went together like they all were. I just had to get up go to bathroom and cry.
It makes me cry now thinking of it. I thought those moments were over.

I think the moments choose to remind us...the love we have for them needs to remind and speak to us. Often, for me it is out of the "blue" but I no longer am surprised when it happens. I will always want to remember the good times...I just wish my brain and heart would let the bad times go.....take care.

I can understand, as I had a surprise attack today myself. It also reminds me of a couple mos. after my husband died, I had to file income tax the first time alone in over twenty years. We had the same accountant for as long. My biggest fear was looking at the empty chair next to me, I thought for sure I would break down and cry. I didn't, I kept my eyes mainly straight ahead at the accountant. I think when we "prepare" ourselves we can sometime get through it but those unexpected tears sometime feel like an ambush. Guess all we can do is "go with the flow" (no pun intended)

I'm with ya on this one! Those moments that take us back to what could have been...should have been...makes me teary eyed too.I started crying in church the other week just watching another couple worshipping together...I miss Mike aside of me at those moments...but also knowing that the man in that couple beat his cancer a few years ago and tried to be a encourager to Mike...sometimes the tears just have to come...and it's okay. I'm never without tissues any more! Hugs...Jill

Oh I wonder if those moments will ever be over. They sneak up on us. I'm not surprised any more and my tears flow freely. I'm not embarassed in public either. If somebody is uncomfortable with me crying, well too bad!
