We never did take the day off, so on our anniversary I went to work as usual. When I got home I checked the mail for the usual anniversary cards. Humm, no mail the box was empty. I went into an empty house and waited for the phone to ring, we always got calls from family on our anniversary. The phone never rang. I put something in the microwave, ate and went to bed. It was the next day that it really hit home, according to the rest of the world, I wasnt married anymore. I am not trying to bring you down, I am just relating my own experience.
Be careful and God bless
Martin
Our Son's sent me flowers and then all of us went out for dinner. It was nice.
Like Martin I did not get any cards or phone calls. It did hurt my feelings that my in-laws did not recognize the day.
8 dats later I had to cope with it being the 1 year mark. Again I went to work, I had a few tough moments but survived.
Hugs, Sandi
Ours is coming up the 13th of next month. It would have been 34 years. I have been at a loss for how to spend it. I have to move from where I live now so I'm buying a house in the country not far from here. I need a survey so I asked my boss who's a surveyor if he could do it. The 13th is the only day we could all get together. I was hesitant at first but Capri was always excited about everything involved in moving to a new place. Most people, me included, wouldn't think doing a survey was an appropriate way to spend an anniversary but somehow I really think she would. I know too that she'd be thrilled to see me finding my way forward. Probably not much help to you but whatever you decide to do, I wish you peace.
John
Do whatever gives you peace.
I hope your day was okay.....
