Oh . . I so get you! Yes, strong enough, thank you. As the saying goes, when it rains it pours? Same here . . too much to mention, but I totally understand. How strong do I need to be? Really?? Enough is enough, in my humble opinion.

So sorry you've had to endure so much on top of losing your spouse. I'm truly sorry for all of us that have to walk this journey, period. However, it is all a part of 'life', and we must carry on . . knowing that "yes, we are strengthened" and we evolve through it all in the most amazing ways.

I am so sorry you have suffered so many calamities in such a short time. It seems overwhelming at times; we have all been there. I am 76, was married 50 yrs. and have been a widow 6 1/2 yrs. The loss of loved ones all through life, and now seeing friends & family in my age group become frail and leave this world are hard facts of life. My strength comes from faith in God. I try to take one day at a time and be thankful for the blessings that I have. This scripture encourages me:

"These things I have spoken to you, that in me you might have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation (sadness, tragedy, sorrow, bereavement etc.), but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." John 16:33

So I believe that whatever happens, God will be with me as I go through it. He says plainly that we will have hard times in life, but we will not be alone.

I hope that you will have "nothing but blue skies" for the foreseeable future. Wishing you peaceful days,

I am a firm believer that if you think it could get worse, you're darn straight, it can!!!

As long as we are living, we will experience "stuff." I'm just NOT always ready and feel like, if I could just get a "heads-up" I'd be better off.....but, NO, the "stuff" just keeps coming at us like confetti.

Vic, we all have suffered a loss and then some......we're here for each other, the best way we can be. Hang tough, we're not done!!!! I know there's going to be some more.....just hang on!!!!

so sorry, I feel your pain, I had though my husband's passing might be the end of the dark cloud that has followed me for the past few years, but it hasn't been. I agree it does get old. I also never ask what next - feel like I'm inviting it in. I hope things do slow down for you - and me as well actually

Omg, So much to cope with. It reminds me of a FB posting recently that said "they say that God only gives us what we can handle. Apparently God thinks I'm a bad ass." Guess he thinks the same about you too (no offense intended if you're not religious)

As Dayna said, "when it rains, it pours". So much heartache on top of heartache. Wish there was something we could do to lighten your load. Know that you are in my thoughts. Hope this is the last calamity you have to deal with so you can focus on just grieving the loss of your wife. A more big enough challenge.
