What is it about grief that makes you feel crazy.  One moment your fine and the next you can't go on.  Then you find that nugget of strength and you continue on again.  God bless those weird little treasures.

all of a sudden, the switcharoos of "Why am I crying for now?" are happening too close together. I feel grateful, SO grateful that I start crying...then I'm a mess. so people avoid me because to be crying that hard MUST mean she is sad. then I'm driving home and become all sad because my conversation attempts failed. ROFL. Welcome to hell.

I don't think people can relate to someone who lost their spouse until or unless THEY do. Losing your day to day partner is different than say losing a parent. You love them all but this cuts you to the heart ongoingly... You are as many have said "lost." You question or requestion your purpose. You become so aware of every day that you're alive.You think about the number of your OWN days. And maybe you can't find the answers you so desperately seek. Maybe it's because you wouldn't be able to bear the answers, and that thought/possibility makes you feel even worse. But in the end we have hope. It's all we run on.

The fact that there is no ending to it. You never get over it, or move on. You just learn to accept the fact... and deal with it day by day...I always say, "I'm pushing forward", putting one foot in front of the other, and pray I don't mis step, or have to take two steps back (of which I have had to do more than a dozen times). No one is immune, to the craziness, comes with the territory, of having our bestfriends/ lovers/soulmates, husbands/wives pass away. With time, comes acceptance, and to some extent some form of peace, some it takes one year, some 2 plus years, and some...well they are still grieving. There is no wrong or right to grieving...
