Shaggy was a kitten from a feral cat when we first moved here, he was 10 this yr. Semi tame but still wildish he would come, sleep in our utility room in winters (pet door). I was worried early this fall I had not seen him around but suddenly a influx of tom cats were around. (He was neutered but they still were picing on him) Suddenly 1 wk ago he came in out of the snow. He was emaciated, so skinny, I tried to get him to eat but he did not much, & strained in pain trying to urinate. I had him put to sleep yesterday because the normal fluffy fat cat was clearly distressed. I feel so bad I did not find him sooner to save him, he was a great fixture here & great mouser. Bye Shaggy thank you for your love.
Than spent the afternoon with my Mom, sister, nieces and family. We had been together for Thanksgiving.
We buried him together. Came home that evening, put out a pet trap to try & catch this pesky small racoon but caught a kitten (~4-5 months old) goregous calico just like Shaggy's Mom was. She is wilder than get out, but put her in my spare bathroom (things are crashed all over) but I am going to try & tame her. Probably find her a home or keep her.
Now why did God or my husband me another wild kitty?
Another story:
I did get a call from realtor someone wanted to see my house on Thanksgiving but I was at my Moms said NO. I prayed all day asking God to find someone for my home....
They were to come Fri, after I spent all day at home last minute changed their minds....auuuuu
I could have spent time with my brother from Oregon.
BUT on THanksgiving it was rather nice this year with my sister/brother and family.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
I am sending good karma and positive vibes your way in hopes of you finding a buyer for your property quickly. I understand the isolation can compound the loneliness. I was able to sell ours 8 months after I lost my husband...and while I miss it, it was the best thing to happen to me. I felt like I had a new lease on life.
Hugs,
Cathy
My 3 little ladies that were sent my way are doing really good and are the best thing that ever happened. If I can ever figure out how to upload a picture, I will post a picture of Lucy and her kitties in a family huddle.

Argh on the people who cancelled last minute. That's pretty rude. The right people will come along, hang in there.
