I am in my 5th month now. We had been married for a year. Then he died.
Two years ago to the day I had no idea my husband existed. Then I found him on that international dating site, met him, fell in love, brought him here, married him, and lost him. All within a span of less than two years! Can it be even crazier than that?
I guess I am still in shock.
Part of me accepted the finality of what had happened, but the other part is still in shock.
For those of you on that Planet Grief, thanks for listening...

Sorry to hear. That was some rapid fire missiles fired at you, and no wonder your still in shock. Grief to me is more like a "Black Hole" in space. Hope you get through Christmas with minimal stress.

They have a name for this part of your grief. Widows fog. I am almost at 22 months since my husband of 36 years died after a lengthy illness and I barely remember the first year as i was in such mourning it was Hell. Breathing and walking in the forest helped me along with biking which i hadn't done in 12 years..Time does help you to learn how to cope. You will see the stars again ( Hugs)

That is a lot to go through in a short period of time.I know that time with him was beautiful. I also know that what you are going through now can seem surreal. My husbands death was a shock too, very unexpected. Now when I look back though, there are so many sweet memories. I will be so glad for you when you get to that stage. Keep on going Babochka. You will get there.

Just thought I would join this group now that I am a widower. My wife passed away May 28th. She was "The Wind Beneath My Wings". When I met her, I was a drunken, dope smoking, fighting, hell raising biker. She told me if I could get rid of the inner storm within me, that I could be a blessing to people. God placed her in my path to stop me. I have been drug and alcohol free now for 53...
