Take care of yourself, he would want that for you. Come here often, the kind people here have helped me a lot and will you too.

I also understand how you feel at night. I actually had to have my doctor prescribe meds to help me sleep. No matter how many days I went with little/no sleep, I just couldn't without help. Between all of the new demands as a single father, the devastating loss and loneliness, it was more than I could bare.
I hope you have an easier night, and I will keep you in my prayers.
Scott
I know I am in a really bad place right now. I just pray for strength and take baby steps.

saying. My husband passed away 1 month ago and I know it still
has not fully hit me. There are moments when it does. and it literally
hits me like a sledgehammer. Even though I was able to see him
before he was cremated I am still struggling believing he is really gone. God bless you! Julie
Take care,
Russ
I do believe that things get better, but for me, it's been an extremely slow process with many relapses. I have accepted the relapses as a normal part of grief.
Please continue to come here to DS. I hope you will find it as great a source of friendship and understanding as I have.
Wishing you peace . . .
My husband died in Nov last year from brain cancer at 48
I am mother of six 25, 18, 8,7,6 and the baby is three. My oldest is married and gone and my 18 year old had returned home from college so now I have five again. I'm so glad to read you have family who ace stepped up and are loving on you and the baby. I don't have that I care for my sweet husband through his 4 1/2 year battle where four of those years he really did remarkably well defying all odds and just being the exception to every rule. We had and still have our church family as my husband and I believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior and he loved The Lord and I believe God sent His family to replace blood family neither of us had.
Let them do and be there for you it's so important for you in your healing and for your little one to see her mother loved and supported it creates a safe haven for her that not just you give but your family and she won't be able to put voice to it now but later she will tell of how comforting it was to have them near for her and for her mother.
God bless you both
Cindy
