I had experienced another sign about a week ago when I found an angel that he had bought me and I had placed it next to his urn facing the right side....I found it completely turned around facing a picture of the two of us. [I live alone so there wasn't anyone there to move it] I still have not had a dream but a lot of these little signs have been happening when I'm feeling lowest.
My 17-year old son is also getting text messages from my husband's friends that always seem to start with, "I felt like I needed to let you know..." followed by whatever they felt the need to share. I also think that this is a sign that his dad is sending to him and his dad is using "father figures" to get his message through to my son.
Another sign I think I may feel is when I have a overwhelming feeling of love, safety, and contentment wash over me. I know in that moment he is sitting right there with me...
Then months later I was going through bins in the garage, most of which had come from his parents ' garage but I did not want to just dispose of them without looking first. I was feeling down and sorry for myself and having a hard time when all of a sudden I felt the need to go through a bin that contained safety goggles and such and as I opened the lid sitting on top was a folded paper. I had opened that bin quickly previously and there were no paper in it. Anyway when I unfolded the paper I realized that it was a calendar page from September 1987 with two important dates circled. The first one was the day we first met and the other was the day we had our very first date. He had written the info inside the circle....I had never before seen that calendar page but I knew it was a sign because of where it was...When leaving each other we would usually say to one another , "Love you, stay safe"
Another time was on a day when I was going to drive my mother-in-law to an important medical appointment. I was stepping out of my grieve to do so because no one else could. Anyway as I was driving to get her, the rain was coming down hard and I wondered if I would have to pull over and wait it out, about that same time 2 yellow butterflies flew along the hood and up the windshield of my vehicle and I knew without a doubt that it was my husband and father in law because there is no way that butterflies are out in torrential rain. Plus we never see yellow butterflies in this area .
We had worked out a code years earlier for who ever passed first.. It would happened on our anniversary and my birthday. I told him I wanted not just red roses but also yellow roses..We have three grown daughters..I told him he could go to anyone of them in a dream and tell them I said too give your Mom yellow and red roses...Well I work up on my birthday/ anniversary and told him now's your chance to proof to me there's life after death....That afternoon I was fixing a sprinkler head in my lawn, I had taken out with my riding lawn mower..My daughter pulled into my drive-way and got of her car..with you guessed it a dozen each of yellow and red roses..She had been at Costco and said she walked by the flowers and for some reason felt like she needed to buy them for me...but the kicker is she said she had red and white in her basket and was heading for the check-out when for some reason she looked back and saw the yellow roses and just turned around and went back and got the yellow...she is probably the closest to my husband..I told her about the code her skeptic dad and I worked out years before he passed and we both had a good cry...
Another sign is music..he liked Rod Stewart's, Forever Young and had it programmed into the entertainment mode of our car..I can be listening to the radio when it will suddenly switch over to Forever Young..This happens also to our daughters..and at our granddaughter's wedding, when the first song they played at the reception in Hawaii where she got married was What a Wonderful World..His all time favorite. They requested it be played, but she kept telling my daughter I wish Grandpa could here..Everyone at the table started to cry because they new it was his favorite..
I wasn't able to go..but they called and told me what had happened..
I've had many signs from my skeptic with butterflies and birds..and white feathers showing up in crazy places..
So Willow just watch for them...I'm sorry for your lose of your husband Jim..Take care of you..My husband's name is Dennis and I miss him everyday.....Don't cry because it's over smile because..it happened..Dr. Seuss....Peace..Gail
