My little one year old granddaughter put a smile on my face the other day. She was visiting and exploring the house as 1 year olds often do. She stepped into my bedroom and looked at the bed with a sense of awe, her little mouth open in surprise. She went over and placed her head on the foot of the bed and asked her mother if she could get in it. I told her yes and my stepdaughter put her in. She was so happy, lying their snuggled in the safety of the pretty yellow comforter with sketches of birds and flowers. Later, as I fell asleep, I pictured her there and slept better than I had in months.

Such a simple thing, but it really touched me. I am so blessed.
